The Pessimist & The Optimist | Minimalist Print Design

When I was in art school, I fell in love with printmaking. Being hands on with a piece of work is one of my favorite things because of the satisfaction that comes from the process. Printmaking taught me patience and that the imperfections of a work give it character.

Here is the evolution of my printmaking pieces — From 2018 to 2021. Simply started as an idea to create something abstract and typography inspired to decorate my room. During the pandemic I refined the design and these pieces went from 'Untitled' to "The Pessimist (S)" and "The Optimist (O)" signifying the choice of one or the other in adversity.

As an artist, I thrive on creating works of art and design that are interactive, thoughtful and impactful so they get people to think differently. What I love most about art is that it’s subjective, so invite you to choose to find your own meaning in these pieces. If you find something speaks to you, I'd love to talk about it.
